This policy explains what data Portfoleu ("we", "us") collects, why, and what choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

Account data — if you create an account, the email address you sign up with.
Portfolio content — the text, links, and details you enter to build your portfolio.
Uploaded files — if you use Magic Import, the CV/résumé PDF you upload.
Local drafts — unpublished edits are saved in your browser's localStorage on your device, not on our servers, until you publish.

How your CV is processed

When you upload a CV for Magic Import, its text is extracted and sent to Google's Gemini API to structure it into portfolio fields. The file is processed in memory to fulfil that request and is not retained by us after processing. Google's handling of that request is governed by Google's own terms and privacy policy.

Analytics

Portfolio pages include analytics only if you add your own Google Analytics ID in Settings. We do not inject third-party tracking into your published portfolio by default.

Data retention & your rights

You have full control over your data. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from your dashboard or by contacting us. Local drafts can be cleared by clearing your browser storage for this site.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
